Easel - I take an Open M Box (www.openboxm.com) in the 10x12 size. It's easy to carry, packs in a small wheeled duffel bag and can carry various sizes of panels.
Panels - www.canvaspanels.com is my choice, but RayMar also makes good ones, and makes painting carrier that's lightweight to carry wet paintings
Paints - because of airline regulations, I pack my paints in my checked bag, and carry three small primary colors in my Carry on just in case. Never carry turpentine, palette knives or solvents. I also recommend NEVER buy the student grade paints - if you are going to invest your time and passion to painting, invest in good professional paints.
when tripods go bad....
