Lotus - the start

I love the "starts" of paintings - the marks, the shapes of pieces to come, erasing bits, moving things around, putting down pure color. We did jigsaw puzzles as kids and it's pretty much the same thing. Just putting down the pieces that go together first.
This is a 48x48 painting of a Lotus pond I found in the  the Finger lakes. I had done a smaller painting but had someone want something bigger, so I'm thrilled to start on it.

Looks like the "start" of another gorgeous piece of your wonderful work. Can't wait to see it when it's finished.

I, too, like the "start." I'm anxious to see how the "puzzle" come together. You give me inspiration and I learn a lot by just reading your posts. Blenda
